Golf Day...

Mark and I "bought" an overnight golf package at Chateau Elan Winery and golf resort (here in Georgia) from the ICS auction last year. Not because we love golf... or even because we love wine... but because we thought it would be a nice way to celebrate our anniversay. Of course, that was before all of the wine that we drankat the auction that consequently had us bidding on the trip to Mexico. So, we ended up with both! No complaints here! It transpired that we didn't really think about the weekend trip until I found the certificate and realized it had to be used by February 2009 (I found the certificate in Jan) so we booked the overnight for a night in Jan. We'd had beautiful weather and thought a day outside would be lovely. And it was, except that it was THE coldest day we had down here this winter. We were freezing and wrapped in winter gear and trying to play golf which is not something we're particularly skilled at. Thankfully, for some strange reason - the course was empty that day! So here are two photos of our attempts at being golfers :)

New Year's Day 2009

We spent the day at Piedmont Park trying out Nina's new roller skates and letting Hannah have a really good go with her roller blades (she's getting really good on them now!). It was cold but sunny and there were lots of people around enjoying the day too. It was a nice way to welcome in the New Year :)

Christmas 2008

Nina's present from Santa this year was roller skates!

AND a camera (from Grandma Anne!)

I LOVE Christmas!!!

We had a wonderfully relaxed Christmas - we didn't go overboard on the number of gifts but tried to pick out things that would be genuinely used and appreciated and I think it worked! Everyone was really excited opening their gifts :)
